To undergraduate students who are interested in research:
Texas A&M University and various federal agencies provide highly motivated students many opportunities to participate world class research. As an engineering faculty, I have long been involving our undergraduate education and research programs. It is one of my career goals to help undergraduate students to experience the cutting-edge research and develop a life-long passionate for engineering development.
Browse the link below to explore the research opportunities sponsored by Texas A&M University or National Science Foundation (NSF). Most of them provide you an opportunity to participate in ongoing research and a good stipends/scholarship. Several other agencies, including NSF, NIH, DOD, DOE and National Science Council (NSC), also provide scholarship to support domestic student to pursue graduate degrees.
Please let me know (jimji @ tamu.edu) if you are interested in undergraduate research and like to further explore these opportunities in Aggieland and elsewhere.
